The Historical and Cultural Roots of Discrimination and the Development of Anti-Discrimination Law in Europe and Italy
The seminar will examine the origins of gender discrimination and the structural asymmetry between the sexes that has shaped the very formation of legal systems, focusing on the various stages of building gender equality through combating discrimination and promoting substantive equality.
Special attention will be given to equality in the workplace.
